INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON IP LAW IN PERSPECTIVE OF ECONOMIC GROWTH AND WEALTH CREATION

Workshop Objective International Workshop on Intellectual Property Law in Perspective of Economic Growth and Wealth Creation (IWOIP17) on August 16-19, 2017 aims to establish a collaboration to stimulate long term academic relations between the UK and Turkey by bringing together a bilateral cohort of academic fellows, scientists, researchers and scholars doing research on IP law, and make an awareness on the debates concerning universal IP issues. It also aims to contribute the development of IP law in Turkey, and hence support the economic growth and wealth creation. The workshop is jointly organized by Ankara University and Queen Mary University of London, and funded by the British Council. Who should attend? International Workshop on Intellectual Property Law in Perspective of Economic Growth and Wealth Creation (IWOIP17) provides an opportunity for academics, researchers, practitioners, scholars and consultants from the UK and Turkey to present their papers, exchange their ideas about all aspects of intellectual property law, and discuss the solutions adopted. However, this call for papers is intended for those who are applying only from Turkey. There will be no poster or virtual presentation at the workshop. Abstracts must not exceed 500 words, and should have five relevant keywords. Abstracts should be sent directly to iwoip17@gmail.com. Please also include the following information in your submitted abstracts: • Title of Paper, • Full name and Affiliation of the Author • E-mail, GSM Number and Address of the Author. Please note that the language of the workshop is English, and there will be no simultaneous translation. Full Paper Submission Full paper submission is optional. All full papers will be peerreviewed. Please note that there may be a publishing opportunity for all accepted full papers. Information will be given by the coordinators. Social Networking Events Workshop will give an opportunity to attend Welcoming Cocktail, Welcome Dinner and Post Workshop Guided Tour to Ephesus Ancient City and House of Virgin Mary on August 19, 2017. Please note that there will also be a networking session at the workshop. Workshop Venue and Accommodation Workshop will be held in Swissotel İzmir which locates at the heart of the city (http://www.swissotel.com/hotels/izmir/). Accommodation expenses (including breakfast, and three-day lunch meals) of the presenters will be covered by the British Council. Travel Travel expenses (flight tickets to İzmir and local transportation from the hotel to Ephesus) of the presenters will be covered by the British Council. Fees There will be no workshop fees. All the expenses of the workshop will be covered by the British Council from the Newton-Katip Çelebi Researchers Link Worksop Grant.
